Java (8) required for XProtect on Husky 350

I have a customer wants to remove Java 8 from their Husky NVR, or upgrade if necessary. Their/my questions are:

  • Is Java 8 a required component for the Milestone Husky 350/XProtect environment?

  • Are there any Milestone services or integrations that depend on Java 8?

  • If Java is required, is there a supported version that should be installed instead?

  • If Java is not required, are you aware of any common third-party integrations that may install or use it?
