Hi. In our MIP plugin we use the MIP Driver to create Metadata devices. With the new licensing model that charges per channel, will this mean that every channel for a Metadata device should be licensed?
No. The licensing model charges per video channel basically. But if you have metadata device(or input/output etc) without video channels, it charges 1 license. Let me bring a few example -
A device has 2 video channels and 4 metadata channels; this means two licenses.
A device has 2 metadata channels but no video channel; this means one license.
