Listen To Events On Central Site, From Cameras That Are On A Remote Site, In A Way That The Camera Source Is Specified And Can Be Extracted

Hi,

I’m working with a plugin running in the Event Server of a central site on an Interconnect setup. I’m able to listen on the central event server for certain events on cameras on remote sites, but not others (like device in-built analytics events e.g. perimeter intrusion, line crossing, loitering etc).

What I want to do is this: trigger events/alarms (basically anything) from cameras on the remote site in a way that in the central site I KNOW WHICH CAMERA ON THE REMOTE SITE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRIGGERING THE EVENT.

The methods mentioned here work but the SOURCE is never the camera.

Is there a way I can set up events/alarms between the remote and central site such that when it reaches the central site the camera info is available?

There is no way to set up events/alarms between the remote and central site when the remote site is an interconnected site.

If you have UserDefined events in the interconnected site, these can be included by setup of events on the device and then you will be able to listen to these events, but the events do not carry any metadata within the UserDefined events, which means the information on the triggering camera is lost.
