Login failure when connecting to Milestone VMS 2014 using latest SDK

Hi,

I am currently using the latest SDK MilestoneSystems.VideoOS.Platform.SDK (version 25.3.2).

Login is failing when attempting to connect to Milestone VMS 2014.

Could you please confirm whether the latest SDK version supports Milestone VMS 2014, or if there are compatibility limitations when connecting to older VMS versions?

If there are compatibility limitations, could you please advise the recommended solution?

An XProtect from 2014 is probably so long out of support that it cannot be used by the new SDK.

Maybe the MIP SDK mentioned here will work.

Milestone and the MIP SDK follow the XProtect® VMS Lifecycle described here.

Any breaking changes in the MIP SDK are announced in the MIP SDK release notes, available here.

Milestone does not intentionally introduce breaking changes, and in many cases the newest MIP SDK can be used with significantly older XProtect versions. However, this compatibility is neither guaranteed nor tested, so no official compatibility list exists.
