Dear Sir,
I tried upgrading Milestone Xprotect Corporate 7.0d (2014) to Milestone Xprotect Corporate 10.0a (2016)which went fine. where SQL full version was running on the same physical server. Since i had to upgrade the complete system to have a seperate SQL & Event servers, i stopped all the Milestone Management services.. moved the Milestone Management to a new physical server with SQL on the existing server & then installed the Event servers & Log server on another physical server. Changed the Recording server to point to the new Management server. All went fine, but after an hour , the system went down . when checked the Management server ..it says
“Milestone error initializing video management objects client module. Check the server address. System could not connect to the server local host 80”
Need your kind advice to sort this issue at the earliest.
Ranjith,
your request goes far, far beyond the scope of this discussion forum. What you need to do is to file a Support Case. If you have a suitable service agreement (Milestone Care Premium), you are even eligible to support 24/7/365 if the issue is a severe one (which your reported issue very likely is).
Regards,
Torsten
I know this is an old thread but I had this exact error this morning. I found that IIS while started and running on the server the Application Pool Identities were not working/started.
My Resolution
Open IIS Manager and verify that the IIS site is running. Click on Application Pools and look for VideoOS * App Pools. Check the Identify of each, I had 4 ppols. Select one and click Advanced Settings then identity. Click the ellipsis (3 dots to the right) and then set. I typed in the fully qualified domain name of the domain service account user, user@mycompany.com, and then entered the correct password for the service account. I did this for all 4 App Pools. Started each one, restarted IIS and restarted the Milestone Services. Once this was done I was able to log into the XProtect Client and Management Applications.
Ken thanks for posting this, it saved me a call in to tech support. If someone has a service account password change or expire, you’ll need to update the password on:
-All milestone services needed (recording, management, event, mobile, log, data etc). 6 in my case. (Start>Run>services)
-SQL service. I had just 1 of these/ (Start>Run>services)
-The 4 IIS app pools. (Start>Run>inetmgr)
Then just start all those services or better yet, restart the server.
