MIPS plugin installation file location

At the moment we have set our windows installer up to copy all plugin files to the [C:\Program](file:C:/Program) Files\Milestone\MIPPlugins folder.

In a previous version of our plugin we suggested users to but files manually in de MIPS within the different folders; eg. [C:\Program](file:C:/Program) Files\Milestone\XProtect Event Server\MIPPlugins

Question: Can you make a comment on what is the preferred method? And any downsides or upsides between the two?

An advantage for deploying plugins [C:\Program](file:C:/Program) Files\Milestone\MIPPlugins folder would be, you can load the plugins on Smart Client, Management Client and Event Server.

thank you . We will go ahead and deploy a clean install with this suggested install method. I will come back on this thread with results and findings to confirm working of the plugin.
