Awhile back I pointed out that unlicensed doors were still showing up in the Smart Client. That was fixed but I didn’t realize the fix wasn’t carried over to Mobile. Can unlicensed doors please be removed from the UI in Mobile as well?
Also, if an Access Control system is integrated with Personalized Logins the Mobile app needs to support that, or there should be an option to exclude the entire that specific Access Control system from working through Mobile. It’s a pretty big security hole since Smart Client users will either get no access or only access to their assigned doors, but all they have to do is login with their Mobile device and they get essentially admin access to the Access Control system.
Great, thanks. If any other info is required don’t hesitate to reach out or pass along my contact info, we’d really like to see the security hole one fixed sooner than later.
I’ve tried reproducing the issue internally with our Access Control Demo plugins, assigning users to specific AC artifacts and restricting their permissions. In all the scenarios that I’ve tried, I have pretty much full access on both Smart Client (2018 R2 & R3) and the android mobile app. I fear I might be missing something out in my setup, so can you give me some specifics regarding your environment? You mentioned that the issue described was fixed in the SC, what version would that be?
We currently have no plans to include Personalised login for Access Control Systems in the Mobile solution, since we are working on different priority items.
