Regarding the specification of storage locations (such as for saving video data) in Milestone XProtect, could you tell me whether it supports multiple disk configurations from the initial installation stage?
Currently, while operating XProtect 2025 R2, we have confirmed through both the manual and actual system operation that it is possible to add storage settings for the Recording Server. Therefore, we can confirm that multiple disks are supported.
The details of what we have checked are described below.
Based on this, please let us know whether it is possible to configure multiple storage settings right from the initial installation.
Since we are currently running XProtect 2025 R2, we are unable to confirm whether multiple storage settings can be configured during the initial installation process.

In the Recording Server’s storage settings, in addition to the storage specified during installation (e.g., [C:\MediaDatabase),](file:C:/MediaDatabase),) we selected the desired Recording Server for which we wanted to add storage. By clicking the button at the bottom of the storage settings list, the [Storage and Recording Settings] dialog box opened, allowing us to add any storage path we wanted.
We confirmed that the added storage can be selected as the storage location for each camera.
This confirms that it is possible to assign storage on a per-camera basis.
