Are you asking whether the Axis thermal camera itself can send an email? I’m assuming you mean that when the camera triggers an event in XProtect, you want XProtect to send the email.
XProtect can send emails using Notification Profiles. If you need guidance on configuring that, it’s best to follow up with Tech Support.
If Tech Support directed you to this developer forum, they may believe that XProtect cannot achieve your goal out of the box and that you need to develop your own custom functionality. In that case, you would first need to detect the event originating from the thermal camera in XProtect. I recommend starting with the Alarm and Event Viewer sample.
