From this link, https://developer.milestonesys.com/s/question/0D50O00003XrMZmSAN/milestone-bridge-usage, it’s mentioned that we cannot use ONVIF Bridge RTSP if the camera is DirectShow.
If this is still the case, do anyone have any recommendation how to test the ONVIF bridge with a virtual camera?
I have tried using VLC media player and ONVIF Device Manager, the latter is unable to find any cameras but is able to connect to ONVIF device (?)
In the meanwhile Milestone has put a tool in the MIP SDK which can act as virtual cameras, and this tool supports h264, and then the streams can be used in ONVIF Bridge.
The tool is named StableFPS.
See - https://doc.developer.milestonesys.com/html/index.html?base=gettingstarted/stablefps.htm&tree=tree_4.html
and - [C:\Program](file:C:/Program) Files\Milestone\MIPSDK\Tools\StableFPS (Location of the tool if you have MIP SDK installed in your PC.)
I managed to add in the StableFPS camera into the Management Client and the camera itself seems to be working just fine.
But the results is still the same. Is there any settings that I need to configure in the ONVIF Bridge or VLC media player?
EDIT: Oh wait, I managed to get the stream through now but the stream is either stuck in a single frame or appears choppy.
I’ll dig around the VLC forums to see if I can fix this issue
Thanks so much for your help
