I have a v2023-r1 setup that is using StableFPS feeding streams out to the ON Bridge.
Historically, this was a h.264 capability only.
Has the code been enhanced to allow H.265 to be supported?
If so, what settings in a registry, XML or other are needed?

Yes, we do support h.265.
If you have only one type of cameras (either 264 or 265) you can use the default settings that can be configured in Open Network Bridge Server settings in Management Client.
If you have a mixture of cameras than you need to select the checkbox “use configuration from devices” (Open Network Bridge server settings in Managemen Client).
When this checkbox is selected ONB tries to retrieve camera codec automatically based on the device settings. This might not work in all cases (Satble fps is one of those ) so we have introduced a codec recognition by video stream name.
Go to camera → streams and give stream a name that contains either H265 or H264 depending on the codec
