So I am looking at this video of an Axis p3047 fish eye camera in demorph view through Milestone XProtect Smart Client. I found the footage I want to export, but the only option is to export the whole fisheye view and I don’t want that. What are the options by Milestone to record within the demorph recording, thus get the exact fixed view I want? Does this make sense? There are softwares out there that will record screen, but is there a Milestone solution to this dilemma? Thx.
When XProtect records the footage of a camera it records the unaltered camera stream and when XProtect exports the footage of a camera it exports the unaltered camera stream.
When having a Smart Client plugin that dewarps the camera view, this is manipulating the pictures in realtime, but in general it does not change what is stored in the server, and then when you export it is still the original footage.
This is most often solved by the Smart Client plugin making sure when an export in the Milestone format is performed the plugin also gets exported. When the end-user then opens the exported footage the Smart Client dewarp plugin is still there and still active.
