Redscan Laser RLS3060L and Axis 6045-C PTZ camera integration

Hi,

I have a problem i configuring my Redscan RLS3060L and AXIS 6045-C PTZ. In the XProtect Corporate management client I have added Axis camera and the RLS3060L and they work.Tested by defining alarms in the alalrm defination to recive alarms when motion is detected from the RLS3060L & it alarms did recive in Samrt client.

I need to configure RLS3060L and Camera in such a way that When the RLS3060 detects motion I want camera to turn to the position arae where the motion has been triggered. I have tried to configure as per the Redscan VMS integration doc

1. By creating the presets on PTZ & then downloading to milestone.

2. Created rules based on the event from a RLS3060L (when Motion started (H/W) from motion window) to move the PTZ camera to the preset. Tested with the Milestone Motion detection.

3. But both when tested its not working.

Need your kind advice to solve this issue.

I understand that you want the Axis PTZ cam to move to a preset when the Redscan detects something.

In Milestone terms:

  • define appropriate events on the Redscan
  • define PTZ presets on the Axis cam
  • create a rule which is triggered on the Redscan events, and triggers the PTZ presets on the Axis cam.

I assume that the Redscan events are not triggered or don’t arrive in Milestone.

  1. Have you verified that the Redscan events are triggered on the Redscan? (I believe the Redscan has physical LEDs which are lit on detections)
  2. Have you verified that the Redscan events are configured in Milestone Management client (on the Redscan)?
  3. Have you confirmed that the Redscan events arrive in Milestone? Do to so, create a new SmartClient view, add an alarm list, and then change the properties of the alarm list so that it shows events instead of alarms. Do you see any events from the Redscan device?

Restarting the Management server fixed the problem.
