I had a look at the VMS RESTful API documentation and currently only the “Configuration” functionality is exposed by the API.
Are there any plans to add additional functionality in the future, like the ability to search for recordings or playback video ?

Our plan is to provide all the features known in the current Protocol Integration, with modern protocols in the VMS API. This is planned to happen gradually, in the coming releases.
