I’m trying to find out if I can playback audio that is recorded separately from Milestone in Playback mode using a Smart Client plugin
We’re currently playing our audio with a Windows Media Player, but it is slightly out of sync with the display. Is there any way we can stream our audio to the smart client along with the desired timestamp to stand a better chance of playing back in sync?
There is functionality in XProtect and in the Smart Client to play (live) or playback audio from cameras that are on the XProtect, but not for other kinds of audio source.
In live mode there is no way to sync video and audio. Perhaps with one exception; you can delay live video by introducing video buffering. In Setup mode under Properties you find Video Buffering.
USING MIP SDK-
It is possible to create a Smart Client plugin that could work with a external audio source. There is no easy way to sync video and audio in live mode.
