Turn on/off bounding-box visualization?

Is it possible to hide/show bounding-boxes for a video view in XProtect. I know that this can be configured in Setup-mode, but I’m looking for and option directly in Live-view. If not possible directly in XProtect, is this possible using MIP SDK integration, e.g. add this option in a ViewItemToolbarPlugin?

I am sorry for delayed response. We have discussed with colleagues and there is a property called ShowMetadataOverlay on ImageViewerAddon which controls the build-in overlay for the camera view item it relates to:
