Unable to do backup configuration from Milestone Management Client

When attempting to create backup configuration file from Milestone Management Client, the system gets stuck at the progress bar for a few seconds before returning us the error in screenshot provided below.

Milestone Management Client and Event Server software are installed on one machine, while the SQL database server is installed on a different machine. We have given the user logged into Milestone server the administrative rights to the database. However, we are unable to resolve this error. Are there any other settings or permission we have to give to the user? Or any logs we are able to check to resolve this error?
