Unable to login to management client

Hello, I am trying to login via the management client and am not being allowed in. The credentials have not changed. It has been a couple of months since I’ve fired up the management server so I guess something got broken and I need help figuring out how to get back into the system.

I have restarted all of the Milestone services. Services all start, but in the event server log there is the following:

2018-09-18 9:19:58 AM UTC-05:00 Info Server Event Server is starting.

2018-09-18 9:19:58 AM UTC-05:00 Info Server Server machine name: (machine name redacted), Server domain name: (machine name/domain redacted)

2018-09-18 9:19:59 AM UTC-05:00 Info Server Event Server feature manager started.

2018-09-18 9:19:59 AM UTC-05:00 Info FeatureManager Error opening VMO connection to: (machine name redacted):80 with message: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

So it looks like there is a connection issue to SQL server, I am not sure why it’s trying to connect on port 80. I have not changed any of the configuration files. All I have done is start up the services, start the management client and tried to connect. Any suggestions for next steps to get my system back to a working state? Thanks.

As this does not pertain to development but to a general situation you will most likely get better help from the partners active in the Support Community - https://supportcommunity.milestonesys.com

OK, will do. Thanks.

OK I have figured out this issue, it was caused by my local SQL server service being stopped.
