No, updating this is potentially damaging and is not supported.
I have an idea that there might be a cause for this question that could be solved in another way.
You have the option in the Management Client or MIP SDK methods to replace a hardware (camera, microphone, speaker, etc.), the purpose for this is to replace a decommissioned or broken camera in a way where user when browsing footage will see the new camera as the old camera. This means that in playback you will automatically see footage from the old device if you go back to before the replacement and see footage from the new if you go after the replacement.
