I have a corporate client who wants us to take advantage of the Customer Dashboard for monitoring there system’s status, but also needs to restrict access to the internet as much as possible.
What is the Milestone Customer Dashboard’s URL? What ports need to be open? Are there any other considerations?
The exact URL and IP-address of the Customer Dashboard (including Software registration etc.) are subject to change, but the general recommendation for Firewall policy is to allow outbound TCP at ports 80 and 443 for milestonesys.com* and milestone.dk*
Thank’s for your help Michael. Unfortunetly this hasn’t worked.
My client’s network administrator has limited outbound ports to 80 and 443 without any problem. But when the destination is limited to milestonesys.com* and milestone.dk*, the system can’t connect with the customer dashboard (No heartbeat from site). Are there any other URLs that we can try, or am I missing something?
The URLs that you gave me each have * at the end; what does this indicate?
