What is the folder "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Common Files \ VideoOS" needed for?

We have a Corporate 2019 R2 running on a VM. SQL and recorders run on separate VMs. To save costs, the drives that are available to us are not very large. The folder “VideoOS” under “C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Common Files” is just under 8GB in size. Is this just a temporary installation folder that can be deleted again or is it still needed?
