What is the JPEG quality supplied by the Recorder Command Server? and how can we change it?

We call the JPEGGetLive operation to get a jpeg of cameras. (using RecorderCommandService/RecorderCommandService.asmx?wsdl

What is the JPEG quality of those images? how can we change that?

The Quality level is ’75’ and is not changeable.

Is it possible to change it manually (at Milestone Xprotext management server) and not via protocol integration?

No. Unfortunately this is truly not changeable (or configurable).

There is an alternative approach. Using the Image Server protocol you can specify if you want images transcoded to Jpeg, there you can specify a quality level. In live you could stop after the first image.
