Your server does not support Live Direct Streaming error.

Hello,

We are struggling with our demo system to get the streaming component up and running to start at least test the video display on Web and Mobile side.

Cameras run correctly, we can check live and playback in the regular client, we can retrieve the Jpeg snapshots from the Mobile server API, however when we try to retrieve a stream, we receives the error - Your server does not support Live Direct Streaming error (see attachment).

Can you please advise what’s wrong?

Please configure direct streaming on Management Client.

Start Management Client – Servers – Mobile Servers – select a mobile server – Performance tab – check on Enable direct streaming (see below).

We cannot see video streaming settings on our environment. Is it because we have Milestone Essentials license?

Yes. Direct streaming requires XProtect Expert or XProtect Corporate.
